CyberLoop vs CyberInterviewPrep (2026): Which Fits Your Interview Prep?
An honest 2026 comparison of CyberLoop and CyberInterviewPrep: voice AI depth vs platform breadth, real pricing, credit models, and who each is actually for.
2026-08-16
Short answer: both are voice AI mock interviewers built specifically for cybersecurity — which already puts them ahead of generic interview tools for this field. The real difference is shape: CyberInterviewPrep is a platform (more tracks, cert exams, CV tooling, labs, leaderboards, a recruiter marketplace) and CyberLoop is a product (the live interview, made as real as we can make it, and nothing else). Which one fits depends on what's between you and an offer.
Disclosure: we make CyberLoop. This page concedes real advantages to CyberInterviewPrep because they exist; all pricing verified 2026-08-16 and linked so you can re-check.

Where CyberInterviewPrep is genuinely better
Track breadth. If your target is penetration testing, red team, GRC, or identity, we simply don't cover it — they do. That alone decides it for offensive-track candidates.
The bundle. Certification mock exams aligned to Security+/CISSP/CEH, CV and ATS tooling, simulation labs — if you want one subscription that covers studying and interviewing, theirs is the more complete package.
Per-interview price at volume. Pro works out to ~$3.90 per interview if you use all ten in the month. We're $7.90 at our best bundle. If you're doing daily reps on a budget and the 30-day expiry doesn't bother you, their math wins.
Where CyberLoop is genuinely better
The interview goes deeper on what you say. Our entire product is the follow-up: every curated question carries a hand-built escalation ladder, and the interviewer climbs it when you're strong — the L3 question exists because you handled L2. Your answers are quoted back accurately (we engineered specifically for this), hesitation is read as nerves rather than evasion, and the free intro is a real scored interview, not a demo.
Scoring you can argue with. A 1–10 against per-domain rubric anchors, per answer, with the reasoning in your report card — rather than a composite 0–500 oriented toward leaderboards. Our study plan tells you what separates you from the next level; that claim is calibrated against sessions from working security professionals, and where calibration is still maturing we say so.
The credit model respects your timeline. Job searches pause — an offer deadline moves, life happens. Credits that never expire and refund if unused mean you're not racing a 30-day clock. And a session that fails for technical reasons on our side refunds itself automatically, no support email.
Question provenance you can interrogate. Our bank is composed from real interview loops the founder sat — the scenarios name what real interviewers actually pressed on. We publish the root questions with answer guidance so you can judge the quality before paying anything.
Who should pick which
Pick CyberInterviewPrep if: you're on an offensive-security or GRC track; you want cert-exam prep bundled in; or you're doing high-volume reps on a tight budget and will use a full subscription month.
Pick CyberLoop if: you're targeting a blue-team technical loop (SOC / IR / detection / forensics / threat intel); the thing you need trained is the live out-loud interview under follow-up pressure; or you want pay-as-you-go with no expiring credits.
Honestly, try both free tiers — a 10-minute CyberLoop interview and their free credit cost you nothing but an hour, and the feedback quality difference will be obvious in your domain, which is the only comparison that matters.

Reading is the flashcard trap.
Practice these out loud against a live AI interviewer that probes your answers — then keep the scored report card and study plan.
